Code of Commitment

CODE OF COMMITMENT

Lakshmi Yalamudi

This is not an agreement you sign.
It is a responsibility you accept.

WHY A CODE OF COMMITMENT EXISTS HERE

My work is not designed for mass consumption, casual learning, or temporary curiosity.

I guide individuals who are ready for:

  • Depth over speed

  • Discipline over comfort

  • Responsibility over dependency

The Code of Commitment exists to protect:

  • The integrity of the work

  • The seriousness of the seeker

  • The sanctity of the learning space

Anyone who chooses to study, engage, or work with me is expected to honour the commitments below.

1. COMMITMENT TO CONSCIOUS CHOICE

I engage with this work by choice, not persuasion.

I understand that:

  • This path is not exploratory entertainment

  • This is not a “try and see” space

  • Depth requires readiness

I take responsibility for my decision to engage.

2. COMMITMENT TO DISCIPLINE

I understand that:

  • Transformation requires consistency

  • Discipline is an expression of self-respect

  • Inner resistance is part of growth

I commit to showing up fully — mentally, emotionally, and practically — for the work I choose.

3. COMMITMENT TO COMPLETION

I commit to:

  • Completing what I begin

  • Respecting the structure of the work

  • Avoiding casual withdrawal or disengagement

I understand that incomplete participation reflects a lack of readiness, not a failure of the teaching.

4. COMMITMENT TO PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

I acknowledge that:

  • My growth is my responsibility

  • Guidance does not replace effort

  • No outcomes are guaranteed

I do not expect:

  • Constant motivation

  • Emotional hand-holding

  • Exceptions due to personal circumstances

This work requires maturity and accountability.

5. COMMITMENT TO RESPECT & ETHICAL CONDUCT

I commit to:

  • Respecting the mentor, the process, and the space

  • Communicating honestly and respectfully

  • Refraining from gossip, comparison, or disruptive behaviour

This is a sacred learning and reflection space, not a social platform.

6. COMMITMENT TO HONEST COMMUNICATION

If challenges arise, I commit to:

  • Communicating consciously

  • Seeking clarity rather than withdrawing silently

  • Addressing concerns with responsibility

Avoidance and disengagement are not aligned with this path.

7. COMMITMENT TO THE YOGIC WAY OF LIVING

I understand that yoga is:

  • A lifelong discipline

  • A responsibility when shared with others

  • A path that extends beyond the mat and classroom

I commit to aligning my conduct, decisions, and teaching (if applicable) with yogic values.

FINAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

By choosing to engage with my work, I acknowledge that:

  • Access is intentional, not automatic

  • Depth demands responsibility

  • This path is not for everyone — and that is respected

Those who are ready stay.
Those who are not leave peacefully.

Both outcomes are honoured.

CLOSING NOTE

This Code of Commitment is not written to control.
It is written to protect clarity, dignity, and transformation.

If you resonate with these values, you are welcome to explore further.
If you feel resistance, it is wise to pause.
